Installing
- 1Open the disk image and drag Waveform to Applications.
- 2Launch it. macOS asks for microphone access the first time you dictate.
- 3Grant Input Monitoring and Accessibility when Setup asks — the first lets Waveform see your shortcut in other apps, the second lets it type the text back.
- 4Hold your shortcut anywhere, speak, release.
Waveform is signed and notarised by Apple, so it opens without a warning. Nothing it hears leaves the Mac: recording and transcription both happen locally, and the only text that ever goes out is what you explicitly send to AI Polish.
